The earth is covered knee deep in leaves in the wooded areas of Owen Park, but there are a few trees refusing to drop their leaves and the sumac still shows red.

I think the park is lovely, quite small, but an urban conservtion area. But by next spring, part of this area that was promised for conservation purposes -only 100 yards from here – will be leveled for new buildings. The heavy machinery sits on a far hill.
