What a wonderful photo! The pistils and stamen are just perfect in this shot–the color so rich, no wonder it’s called Radical Red!
‘Radical Red’ is just about perfect for that intense red, isn’t it?
The name is perfect for it. I love the flood of red!
I was also thinking of ‘hot sauce’ lily to match the weather…
The bold red and orange/yellow colors remind me of High School Marching Band uniform colors.
You are so right, Preston. I remember lots of HS marching bands in red with yellow trim. Great recall!

Wow! Wonderful totally read lily and perspective!
Haha, it’s the “scarlet letter” lily. But in a better way. It’s a very vibrant flower, expressive and almost like it has a past. Or my brain is overworking.. lol
